I've wondered this for a while now. Who exactly is the credited writer of BM1 and BM2?
I'm starting to really lean towards JRS being a pseudonym...for maybe someone who doesn't necessarily want the BM credit on his resume.
The German DVD for BM1 has Keith Holland listed as the writer, but once I looked up who that was, I saw he was the director of photography on the film.
I'm almost 100% willing to bet that whoever JRS is, he did NOT write BM2...but rather someone in-house rewrote the BM1 script to be a sequel.
Just my two cents. Yours?

I'd guess the same thing as you..... but BM2 was FR better thann the first, so, real name... or different writer using same pseudonym? :-) ... unless the outline came from the director and he had no idea what to d for a sequel and so JRS was allowed to really flex his writer muscles.
Yeah, Keith Holland wwas DD.P I (think I still) have his email address if you'd like to ask him anything.
Either way, we need to ask all BM people we bump into online in the future :-)

I've asked Michael Stone (Dean) in the past about who wrote BM1. He said he never met the writer.
I've also asked Michael Hurst (The Graveyard writer) about how The Graveyard was supposed to be BM3 and he admitted that he wrote The Graveyard and The Butcher back-to-back and they were supposed to be BM3 and BM4. He eventually had his name taken off The Butcher and used a pseudonym. So JRS doing the same thing is totally plausible.
