Made for just $500 (and it's easy to see how) on an old hi8 video camera, CAMP BLOOD could well be the ultimate guilty pleasure. It's so bad but has fans and sequels (I know right?) If you've ever wanted to make a slasher film, this should push you into having a go. (Toran I'm looking at you kid )

Really? You're not missing much ..... but if you've EVER wanted to make a slasher movie, CAMP BLOOD 1 will push you to just do it. Made for $500 and a sequel was greenlit instantly The opening scene is awful. The spooky music is the same FREE music you can down load and use yourself ..... the music that they use on SOUTH PARK

You have to see them, Nick. They sell all 3 films on 1 dvd now-a-days....
I thought the opening was good fun because the young woman was hot with nice tits.
Oh Matt, I do beleive the camera was a $250 Sony DIGITAL one...

2nd one would be much better (is much better, but stil ... ) if they idn't have 5minutes worth of flashbacks to the first film to make it hit the 70minute mark.
3 has a better better production value ... but a dumb ending.

Yeah, I noticed. It's incredibly obvious the flashbacks were used as a time filler. Same with part 3 and the super slow credits.

Just realized there’s like 9 Camp Blood movies now. And they’re on Amazon Prime. Making my way through them all.

After watching them all...
CONCLUSION: Brad Sykes' original trilogy remains the better of the bunch, despite the new(er) sequels having better production value.
